February Winter Storm

Heavy snow and high winds hit Virginia after a historic winter storm on Feb. 5-6 brought record snowfall and hazardous conditions to many parts of Virginia.

4:45 p.m. Update:

Power Outages Declining: Power continues to be restored to Virginia citizens in advance of the next winter storm.  As of 4:30 p.m., about 10,000 customers are without power, down from a peak of more than 210,000 three days ago.
